Will the project be fulfilled from Europe?

The project is being shipped from the US. However, we’re using Customs-Friendly Worldwide™ by Ship Naked, so you shouldn’t get stuck with customs fees in the EU. For more details, see Update #2. Last updated: Thu, Jun 4 2015 11:37 am EDT

Why would I want 3 decks instead of just 1 or 2?

You get a complete game for up to 4 players with just one deck. Constructed play will allow up to 3 copies of any given card though, so getting three decks gives you the maximum options for building constructed decks. It will also give you an awesome draft cube for cube drafting with 8 players. Last updated: Wed, Jun 3 2015 4:00 pm EDT

How many copies of Epic can I get at the Gamer Tier?

We will allow up to 10 copies of the game (plus that many copies of the promos and stretch goal benefits), which is the maximum number allowed by Kickstarter. 10 copies with promos and SG benefits will be $200, plus shipping. Last updated: Wed, Jun 3 2015 4:04 pm EDT

What are the shipping costs?

$6 for the US $10 for Canada $12 for the EU $15 for the rest of the world You must manually add the shipping cost when buying multiple sets. For example, a US backer should pledge as follows: One Set: $26 Two Sets: $46 Three Sets: $66 Last updated: Wed, Jun 17 2015 1:27 pm EDT

Can I pick up at a convention like Spiel in Essen?

No. The entire project will be fulfilled all at once from one location before the game goes on sale to the public. Due to the huge response to the Kickstarter, we may even sell out at some point after we’ve fulfilled the project. Last updated: Wed, Jun 3 2015 4:06 pm EDT

Will there be a digital version?

Most likely. We’re just finishing up the physical version for now and our digital team has been working on making improvements to and expansions for Star Realms, but it is something we are planning. Last updated: Wed, Jun 3 2015 4:39 pm EDT

What about sleeves, play mats, T-shirts and card boxes?

These are all Epic products we will be making, but they won’t be part of the Kickstarter and we don’t have all the details at this time. Last updated: Wed, Jun 3 2015 4:39 pm EDT

If I get more than one copy of Epic at the gamer tier, do I get more than one copy of the year one promos and the stretch goal rewards?

Yes Last updated: Wed, Jun 3 2015 4:41 pm EDT

Do I get stretch goal rewards with the “No Frills” tier?

No. Stretch goals are a frill. :) Last updated: Wed, Jun 3 2015 4:41 pm EDT

Will there be a gameplay video and/or rules on the kickstarter page?

We gave copies of 60 card preview decks to press at origins and they have put some videos together. There are some rules mistakes, but they will give you a good idea of the play of the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch… https://www.youtube.com/watch… Last updated: Sun, Jun 28 2015 10:17 pm EDT

What is a double-sided token card?

While most champions in the game are awesome beings of incredible power, sometimes a card will create multiple copies of less powerful champions. Token cards are used to represent the champions created in this way. Since there are more than one kind of token champion, making them double-sided with say a zombie on one side and a wolf on the other side, allows you to get twice as many token champions onto a given number of cards. What is an Epic cube?

This is a specific and really fun way to draft and play Epic. Once you own 3 copies of each card (by getting 3 decks) you can create a large enough pool of cards to make random “packs” of cards for 8 people to draft with, using the cards with the red gems as “rares” (1 to a pack) and the rest of the cards as commons. At that point, you will have cards left over after you build your packs, so no one will know exactly which cards are being used and which aren’t, which will help you have drafts that are exciting and different every time. Can a store pledge the store tier multiple times?

No, unfortunately this is against Kickstarter’s policy of offering bulk rewards. Last updated: Thu, Jun 4 2015 11:34 am EDT

Will there be Star Realms related add ons or Stretch Goal items?

No. You’ll have to wait and get these through normal channels. Sorry. :) Last updated: Fri, Jun 5 2015 4:51 pm EDT

Is this project just a repackaging of the old Epic Trading Card Game?

No, this project (Epic Card Game) was inspired by the Epic Trading Card Game, with a healthy dose of inspiration from Star Realms, but it is a new game. For those who played the old Epic TCG, here are some differences: This game is NOT a TCG. This game has no “stops”, no “line”, no “gifts”, no “paced speed”, no “instantaneous”, no “natural”, no “magical”, no “constructed”, no “origins”, no “pre-battle step” and no “build step”. The cards are balanced better. The factions are themed and balanced better. There are smoother game mechanics, superior constructed rules and FAR better visuals. The main similarities are: The game world, characters and back story. The fact that every card in the game is powerful and playable. The “action” based resource system that insures players can always play their cards. Darwin and I have gotten a lot better at game design and development over the years. We’ve taken an old game we love and used the best parts of it as inspiration for this new game. For those of you who are fans of the old EpicTCG, don’t worry, if you liked that game, you are going to LOVE the new Epic Card Game. Last updated: Fri, Jun 5 2015 10:15 pm EDT

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
